Camille Velluet è nata a Nantes nel 1995. Vive e lavora a Parigi.
Dopo gli studi letterari e una laurea in estetica all’Università di Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne, nel 2019 Camille Velluet si è diplomata all’Ecole du Louvre specializzandosi in arte contemporanea. Ha perfezionato la sua formazione con un Master 2 in “Arte contemporanea e mostre” all’Università La Sorbona.
Le sue esperienze al Palais de Tokyo, al Salon de Montrouge e al FRAC Île-de-France ( Fondi regionali di arte contemporanea) hanno rafforzato il suo desiderio di lavorare con i giovani artisti e di promuovere la scena emergente. Nel gennaio 2024, co-fonda il polo emploi fictif, una rete di supporto peer-to-peer dedicata alla curatela emergente, che mira a contribuire alla professionalizzazione dei giovani curatori indipendenti, che operano singolarmente o in gruppo, in Francia. Sempre nel 2024, organizza l’esposizione “The Sound of fabrics” nell’artist-run-space Punt WG di Amsterdam, mostra incentrata su questioni di riparazione e cura nelle pratiche tessili.
In qualità di critica d’arte indipendente, ha redatto vari testi per mostre in gallerie, centri culturali e pubblicazioni e collabora regolarmente con la rivista Zérodeux.
Camille Velluet est née à Nantes en 1995. Elle vit et travaille à Paris.
Après une classe préparatoire littéraire et une Licence en esthétique à l’Université de Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne, Camille Velluet obtient son diplôme à l’École du Louvre en spécialité art contemporain en 2019. Elle est également diplômée du Master 2 professionnel « L’art contemporain et son exposition » de Sorbonne-Université. Ses différentes expériences au Palais de Tokyo, à l’organisation du Salon de Montrouge ou encore au FRAC Île-de-France n’ont fait que confirmer son envie de travailler auprès de jeunes artistes et de valoriser la scène émergente. En janvier 2024, elle co-fonde le pôle emploi fictif, un réseau d’entraide, de pair à pair, dédié à la curation émergente qui vise à contribuer à la professionnalisation des jeunes commissaires indépendant·es, seul·es ou en collectif, en France. Cette même année, elle organise l’exposition « The Sound of fabrics » dans l’artist-run-space Punt WG à Amsterdam, portant sur des questions de réparations et de care liées aux pratiques du textile. En tant que critique d’art indépendante, elle a été invitée à rédiger différents textes d’expositions pour des galeries, structures culturelles ou publications et collabore notamment de manière régulière avec la revue Zérodeux.
Camille Velluet was born in Nantes in 1995. She lives and works in Paris. After a literary preparatory class and a Bachelor’s degree in aesthetics at the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne, Camille Velluet graduated from the École du Louvre with a specialization in contemporary art in 2019. She is also a graduate of Sorbonne-Université’s Master 2 professionnel “L’art contemporain et son exposition”. Her various experiences at the Palais de Tokyo, the Salon de Montrouge and the FRAC Île-de-France have confirmed her desire to work with young artists and promote the emerging scene. In January 2024, she co-founded pôle emploi fictif, a peer-to-peer support network dedicated to emerging curation that aims to contribute to the professionalization of young independent curators, alone or in collective, in France. That same year, she organized the exhibition “The Sound of fabrics” at the artist-run-space Punt WG in Amsterdam, focusing on issues of repair and care related to textile practices. As an independent art critic, she has been invited to write various exhibition texts for galleries, cultural structures and publications, and is a regular contributor to Zérodeux magazine.
