Workshop on the evaluation of radiation hardness of materials for nuclear fusion plants

This workshop has recived the CASSINI FUNDING for franco-italian study days

Nuclear fusion is one of the most promising answers to the increasing global demand for sustainable energy: fusion reactions are safe and abundant energy sources, they emit neither radioactive waste nor greenhouse gases and fusion reactors would take up relatively little space. The main technological challenge to overcome is the development and test of materials capable of enduring the extremely harsh conditions produced in the reactor. In this workshop, some state-of-the-art techniques will be reviewed.
